MAGNESS CAMP SIGN UP INFO (message from Committee Chair, Sheri Collier):
Due to the snow day we will not be able to meet on Wednesday....and that was also the magness Camp deadline. WELL we need to change our plans a little. SO here is plan SNOW :) or plan B.....

IF you are going to Magness Camp, please fill out your papers and mail them with a full check into the address provided on the forms.  Paperwork was passed out to parents, but here is the link in case you need it:  http://www.denverboyscouts.org/openrosters/DocDownload.asp?orgkey=51&id=49045
Once you have mailed your forms and check (1 form per person) PLEASE send me an email and tell me how many people you reserved for.
I will be in contact with Dewey and make sure we are still close together in the camping area.

I will be out of the country from Thursday morning until the end of the month.
If papers are not in with a full check by the 31st of March, the fee goes up and you are also NOT eligible for the jeans day dispursement. Of course, we still have scout tickets to sell too!!!

I hope that this helps. Once I am back in town I will verify the kids going through Dewey and we will work on the amount that will be divided amoung the boys.

MARCH 2010 NEWS POST

Hi Scouts and Parents,

I'm Don Miller and I'll be the Cub Master for Pack 13 this year.  My son is a Tiger Cub and we've had a great time scouting this past year.  I'm looking forward to meeting all of you and working with you to move our pack to the next level.  If you have any questions please give me a call at 303-704-7082 or email me at tres_millers@yahoo.com.  And now for some March News:

This month we'll have the Arrow of Light and Cross-Over ceremony for our Weblos II group.  The boys in this group have spent the last month visiting area Boy Scout troops, considering which group would be best for each of them. We wish all of these Scouts the best as they continue on with their selected troops.

The Cross-Over ceremony will be on Wednesday, March 24th, at our monthly Pack Meeting.

DEN NEWS:
Tiger Den
No information was provided from your den leaders for this month. Please contact them for information on specific den events. Also check out all pack meeting dates listed at the end of htis post.

Wolf Den
No meeting this coming Tuesday as the WEBLOS crossing over is Wednesday and no meeting on 3-30 (we are on vacation). Regular meetings to start back up on April 6th.

Bear Den
Congratulations to all of the Bears for all of their hard work earning their Bear badges! Don't forget to thank your parents for all of the help they gave you in the process.

During April we will be working towards the Astronomy Belt Loop and planning a Den bike trip one weekend.

Start thinking of other Belt Loops we can work on as a Den.

Weblos I
The Webelos 1 are gearing up for their fitness achievement. Many of the boys will be working on individual pins. As a den we will also be exploring the benefits of fitness, eating healthy, drug and alcohol abuse and how to keep our bodies clean. You will be seeing us outside a lot doing activities and such. Thankfully we have the time change!

Weblos II
The Arrow of Light and Cross-Over ceremony on Wednesday, March 24, marks the end of the Cub Scout trail for the boys of Den 5. Four of the boys started as Tigers when Pack 13 first formed. The others have joined along the trail. We hope you can all attend this special ceremony where the boys will receive the awards that recognize their hard work and dedication, and then cross the bridge into Boy Scouts!

To all the Wolves, Bears and other Webelos, Den 5 Webelos hope each of you will have the opportunity to visit them as Scouts when you begin visiting Troops to make your own Troop selection. They offer these parting words:

"Do your best. Keep healthy. Have fun when it is appropriate and be serious when it is time to."
- Josh Johnson, Troop 193

"I will always remember the fun and adventure I had as a Cub Scout!" - Henry Hill, Troop 564

"Have a very good time so you can remember it for a long time." - Diego Salas-Ray, Troop 564

"Stay inside the Pack. I stayed in 5 years and I loved it!" - Evan Haubenschild, Troop 523

"Have a good time so you can enjoy. HAVE FUN!" - Brandon Pass, Troop 524

"Do your best! Have fun. Work hard for your goal!" - Brandon Walker, Troop 315
